The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a civilian foreign intelligence agency of the United States federal government responsible for providing national security intelligence to senior US policymakers The CIA is part of the United States Intelligence Community and reports to both the Director of National Intelligence and the President of the United States. 4. Open Source Collection (OSC): This activity involves collecting and analyzing open source information, such as news reports, books, documents, and internet postings. The CIA is responsible for identifying, collecting, and analyzing these sources in order to gain a better understanding of political, economic, scientific, and other activities worldwide.
5. Cyber Intelligence (CYBINT): This activity involves the use of computer network exploitation and attack techniques in order to gain access to the computers, networks, and information of foreign entities. The CIA is responsible for developing and deploying advanced cyber-technologies in order to penetrate, disrupt, and disable adversary networks.
