Michael Healey is an English actor, playwright and director who has performed in many major stage productions, including at the Royal National Theatre and Royal Court Theatre He has written numerous popular plays, including ‘The Pain and the Itch’, ‘The Patron Saint of Hockey’ and ‘Generous’. He is best known for his work on the television series ‘Midsomer Murders’. Michael Healey’s career in theatre began in the early 1990s, when he was cast in numerous small productions in the West End. He was quickly noticed by director Peter Hall, who cast him as the lead in ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead’.
