(each 100-300 words) Friedrich Nietzsche was one of the most influential philosophers of the 19th century, and is known for his powerful philosophical and psychological ideas Nietzsche believed that the self-care of the individual was the most important factor in life, and he was highly critical of traditional morality and religion. His writings have remained influential to this day, and his influence can be seen in many areas of contemporary thought. The topics of Nietzsche’s writings are varied, but they all stem from his philosophy of taking a critical view of the world around us and valuing individual autonomy over conformity. Nietzsche Essay Topic Idea #1: The Will To Power. This is perhaps Nietzsche’s most famous concept and it forms the core of his philosophy. The Will To Power states that individuals should seek to achieve the highest level of power by any means necessary. This power can be physical, intellectual, spiritual, or any combination of these. Nietzsche believed that individuals should embrace their own personal will to power and use it to make positive changes in the world. Nietzsche Essay Topic Idea #2:Ubermensch. This is Nietzsche’s concept of the ideal individual, or “super-human.” Unlike traditional conceptions of morality, Nietzsche believed that individuals should strive to become something greater than an ordinary person. This could mean striving for immense physical strength and personal power, or simply living life to its fullest potential. Nietzsche Essay Topic Idea #3: The Death of God. To Nietzsche, traditional religion was simply a form of control that hindered human growth and creativity. He predicted that the death of God would lead to a period of freedom and creativity, as individuals would be freed from the moral structure of traditional religion. Nietzsche Essay Topic Idea #4: The Eternal Recurrence. Nietzsche believed that life is always repeating itself in a never-ending cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. He argued that this provided a way to find meaning in life, as individuals could strive to make the most of their time in each cycle. Nietzsche Essay Topic Idea #5: Perspectivism. This is the belief that all knowledge is relative and dependent on the individual’s perspective. Nietzsche argued that this allowed individuals to create their own meaning in life, as they could interpret events and ideas in their own personal way.
