Ram, in Hinduism, is the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, the Preserver and Protector of the Universe He is usually depicted as a handsome and heroic figure with blue skin and four arms. He is often depicted holding a bow and arrow, and is usually accompanied by his divine consort, Sita. Ram is the embodiment of righteousness and courage. He was born of the King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya and became the heir-apparent of the kingdom of Ayodhya. As a prince, he proved himself to be an exemplary leader, inspiring loyalty and admiration. His commitment to righteousness and justice was so great that it eventually led to his exile from his beloved kingdom. Despite being exiled, Ram never lost sight of his mission to protect and serve humanity. While on his quest to find Sita, who was stolen by the demon king Ravana, Ram gained the friendship and loyalty of the Vanaras (the monkey people).
