Spamalot is a musical comedy created by the Monty Python team It debuted at Broadway in 2005 and was nominated for three Tony awards. It has since become one of the most popular musicals of all time. The musical is based on the classic motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail and follows the adventures of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Along their journey, they encounter many odd and funny characters, such as the Knights who say “Ni”, the Killer Rabbit, and the Great Golden God. The music for the show was composed by John Du Prez, with additional music by Eric Idle. The lyrics for the show were written by Idle and Tim Rice.
