Yoruba people are known for their vibrant visual arts and crafts, music, and writing. The Yoruba language is a tonal language with numerous dialects, which can make it difficult to understand at times. Yoruba people have a rich and complex social system, based upon extended family ties. Each village or town usually has a king or ruler, known as Olori.
