What is a Chupacabra? A Chupacabra is a legendary cryptozoological creature that is believed to inhabit some parts of the Americas Its name is derived from the Spanish words “chupar,” meaning “to suck,” and “cabra,” meaning “goat.” Chupacabras are believed to be a strange, nocturnal beast with a muscular or reptilian body and a lizard-like face with sharp teeth. They stand about three to four feet tall and have long claws and strange, spiny protrusions coming from their backs. The creature feeds on the blood of livestock and other animals and can cause mysterious deaths. The first reported sighting of a Chupacabra was in Puerto Rico in 1995. Though the creature is believed to have been around for centuries, it was only until recently that sightings of the strange creature began to be reported.
