What is Service Homework?
Service homework is a form of extra-curricular activity that students can participate in to give back to their community It is used to teach students the importance of volunteering and helping those in need. Service homework is the concept of assigning students to research, plan and participate in a volunteer activity outside of the classroom setting. Service homework brings students out of their comfort zones and into settings where they can learn to be responsible citizens and to better understand the needs of their community.
