World War II (WWII) was the most devastating conflict in human history It began in the wake of the mass murder of Jews and other persecuted minorities in Nazi Germany, which sparked the European war that would soon spread across much of the world. The war was fought between the Allied Powers (primarily the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union) and the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan). After six long years of fighting, the Allies ultimately emerged victorious. Good essay topics on World War II could explore a variety of different topics.
