What is Crito?
Crito is an ancient dialogue written by Plato circa 399 BCE It takes the form of a discussion between Socrates, an Athenian philosopher, and Crito, an Athenian man who was a friend of Socrates. In the dialogue, Crito argues that Socrates should escape his impending execution and flee exile. The dialogue explores a variety of themes, including justice, morality, and obedience to the law.
